Raymond Larabie, founder and type designer at Typodermic Fonts

I started Typodermic Fonts in 2001. I’ve never tried to give the catalog a single house style: it includes futuristic display type, vintage-inspired lettering, practical families, and some odd experiments that proved useful.

Typodermic fonts have appeared in identity systems, packaging, advertising, websites, apps, games, and film and television. I still design new typefaces and return to older ones—redrawing them, expanding language coverage, and rebuilding families for current technology.

Alongside the commercial catalog, I maintain a free desktop font collection and a CC0 public-domain collection. The licensing guide explains what each kind of font can be used for. If something is unclear, messages sent through the contact page come directly to me.

For the longer story—including the ideas, revisions, abandoned experiments, and strange detours behind the fonts—download my free book, Between the Lines.
